SUMMARY:Movie: Ernie & Joe- Crisis Cops
DESCRIPTION:In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month\, Fellowship Housing is pleased to present Ernie & Joe: Crisis Cops an intimate portrait of two Texas police officers who are helping change the way police respond to mental health crisis calls. He will be joined by Concord Chief of Police\, Bradley Osgood. Executive Director of NAMI-NH\, Susan Stearns. VP Clinical Operations of Riverbend\, Sarah Gagnon and a special guest from the community. \n  \nThe evening will start at 6:00PM with dessert and networking and will conclude at 9:00PM. There is no cost for tickets to see the film although\, there is limited seating so reservations are required. \nAll donations will go directly to Fellowship Housing Opportunities\, a provider of quality affordable housing for those living with mental illness.

SUMMARY:One Friday in April: A story of suicide and survival by Donald Antrim
DESCRIPTION:Riverbend Community Mental Health\, Inc joins Gibson’s Bookstore in welcoming author Donald Antrim into the bookstore for a talk and signing for Antrim’s book\, One Friday in April: A Story of Suicide and Survival\, a searing and brave memoir that offers a new understanding of suicide as a distinct mental illness. \nNamed One of TIME‘s 100 Must-Read Books of 2021\, one of BuzzFeed’s Best Books of 2021\, one of Vulture’s Best Books of 2021\, and named one of the Most Anticipated of Books of 2021 by the Los Angeles Times\, Literary Hub\, and The Millions\, this will not be an event to miss! Through a clear and haunting reckoning with the author’s own story\, One Friday in April confronts the limits of our understanding of suicide. Donald Antrim’s personal insights reframe suicide—whether in thought or in action—as an illness in its own right\, a unique consequence of trauma and personal isolation\, rather than the choice of a depressed person.
